summer vacation

they’re over.

Just started school again the other day. And sure, I’m used to work even though I’m lazy as hell. It’s just that it starts to feel like it’s for real… it scares me. Big time. I’m scared that what I do here isn’t enough for the real world. I think that everybody else who come out from high school to the university is darn Einstein. Which is weird… heck I shouldn’t be scared about shit.
I speak three languages fluently, I can sing and get around at least three instruments, I look good, I have friends and nothing to complain about. But heck… my confident has gotten some torns lately…

And all these things keep happening all the time. Things that I can’t do anything to stop. And of course these things just happen to be things that freak me out. People act like I don’t expect them to act and it leaves me standing without a clue about what to do. God… two words: hanging on. That’s what I try to do.

well… I just want to dance… Step up 2 the streets. Yes please. And now I’ll go sleep.

G’night y’all

hello carbon monoxide Tuesday, August 19, 2008

…the air the air is everywhere.
That’s what I’ve been singing the last days. The song is called Air and it’s from the musical Hair. The broadway version. I found the vinyl last year but I didn’t really have the time to listen to it since I left that soon after that. But now that record is almost the only thing I listen to.
I don’t have that many vinyl records but if I find someone I like I buy it. This summer I’ve bought around ten of them. Among them two Pink Floyd and one Thin Lizzy. Really enjoy them.
But to confess… my sweetheart in the collection is Ben Harper’s Fight For Your Mind. That album has even given it’s name to this blog. I found the record in a vinyl shop in Lyon, France. I found three albums I really wanted. (ok I’m pretty sure that if I had stayed a little longer I could have found more) Anyhoo, it was a Blondie greatest hits, Patty Smith and Ben Harper.
And I went for the double LP with Mr. Harper. And I am soo happy for that. Now that man knows how to deliver.

Listen to Please Bleed, Another Lonely Day and Burn One Down. Then come back and tell me what you think.

the day Martha Stewart won Monday, August 18, 2008

I can’t believe it. I am actually surfing Martha Stewart’s site.
Feels darn weird. You see, I have always been boycotting Madame Stewart. I mean please, it should be called Stewart wives not Stepford wives.
Seriously when a woman says she enjoys vacuum cleaning something is wrong!

Anyway, I am now searching her site for a birthday card I can make for my sister. Just until yesterday I didn’t even have a gift for her. But I found the perfect gift last night. You see she’s going to Ireland soon, and I just spent 10 months in France, and last night a friend asked me for a phonenumber to a French familly so I took out my papers from France. And out from them falls 60 euros! haha perfect!!! Amazing!
I mean now I can give her euros, like that she doesn’t have to change currency. And I didn’t  actually have any money before. I was ready on living on $10 until late September. Life is beautiful!!!
So now I just have to find a card for her. And I ain’t that good on stuff like that. She’s the crafting one. I’m the artistic one.
